2021 is Going to be a Big Year for Energi X
2021 is going to be a big one for the Energi X team. We are incredibly excited about how far the project has come and where we are going this year. When it launches, Energi X will represent a crucial next step in our mission to make cryptocurrencies and financial technology accessible to everyone. Energi X will bring all of Energi’s tradable assets into one platform, as well as providing a growing variety of trading pairs, with the goal of ultimately becoming the industry-standard exchange.
As we enter the year of Energi X’s launch, we thought we would take a look back at how far we’ve come and give you an update on all of the features that we have been working on.
FEATURES
Trade Commission-Free
- Energi X will allow users to trade all NRG pairs completely commission-free. For other pairs, negative maker fees will offset taker fees, making Energi X highly competitive with other exchanges.
Scalable and Stable
- Energi X will benefit directly from the technical expertise of the larger Energi team, making it one of the most robust and scalable exchanges in the marketplace.
Best-in-Class Security
- Just like the other parts of the Energi ecosystem, Energi X will come with unparalleled security in the space thanks to the dedicated work of the Energi Bureau of Investigations.
Trade a Variety of Pairs
- Energi X will launch with NRG, BTC, and ETH pairs available for immediate trading. Shortly thereafter, we will begin adding more pairs until we are the most comprehensive digital asset exchange in the marketplace.
2020 PROGRESS
After beginning development on Energi X in 2019, the start of 2020 represented a huge acceleration for the project. Working through the year, our tech team made excellent progress toward making our dream of a commission-free exchange a reality. In Q4 2020, we entered the final stages of our initial development.
WHAT IS NEXT?
We are set to begin internal testing in Q1 2021 and will roll out public testing once that is complete. This will ensure that, when we officially launch Energi X, it exceeds the expectations of both ourselves and our community. After comprehensive testing has been satisfied, we are tentatively aiming to launch the first public version of Energi X in Q2, 2021. However, as with everything Energi does, the timeline will be dictated by quality, stability, and market-readiness.
